Happy Four-Month Birthday Sweet Girl!!!

Reyhana is four-months old today!!! We weren't able to get a smile for her bday picture this month. Little Rey Rey had shots at the doctor's today and wasn't feeling her usual happy self. We also found out at her appt that she weights 14 lbs... getting big :)

Reyhana's New Activity

Our little Rey Rey is becoming quite an active little one! She is laughing, talking, and moving all around these days. Her new favorite toy is her activity mat. She LOVES it AND she is already getting ready to roll over. Check her out...

Reyhana's First Vacation!

Over the 4th of July, we took little Rey Rey on her first vacation. We stayed at the beautiful St Regis hotel in Laguna Beach, and Reyhana enjoyed every minute of it. She was happy, relaxed, and slept well... we hope she doesn't get too used to the "luxury" hotel life :)

Reyhana - Three Months!!!

Little Reyhana is three-months old as of July 3rd 2009! She is smiling and talking all the time now. She is also getting very strong... holding her head up and even "standing" with a little help from mommy and daddy. Here are some bday pics...

Reyhana - Two Month Birthday!

Today is a big day for me... it's my two-month birthday!!! Mom and Dad took some pics for you to enjoy.

Reyhana has been doing great! She had a fun month of May with many visitors and lots of new activities. She loves bathing, napping, stretching, and going to restaurants! In addition, we saw the first signs of her gaining her own awareness, such as: smiling, laughing, cooing, looking at objects and the ceiling, listening to voices, and holding her head up. Reyhana - One Month Birthday!!!

Hi everyone... can you believe it's already been one month! Reyhana is growing and doing well. She is now a little over nine pounds. Mom and Dad are adjusting to parenthood and starting to adapt to the lack of sleep. It's amazing how much work one little infant can be! Luckily, we have grandparents, family, and friends who have been a wonderful support with advice, help, and food!

Bringing little Reyhana home for the first time!

As you can imagine, Mustafa and I were so excited to bring home our sweet Reyhana. It was such a surreal experience... the anticipation of starting our new family was so exciting! I remember standing outside the hospital and getting our little girl settled in her car seat for the first time. We laughed so hard at how cute she looked in this seat that was so big for her. Welcome Reyhana Rosalyn Soylemez!

Mustafa and I are SO incredibly blessed with the arrival of our little baby girl, Reyhana Rosalyn Soylemez!!! We want to share our amazing journey with you.

We will be posting new photos and videos as often as we can on Reyhana's website. So, please check in from time to time to see our little girl. You can also sign up to receive email updates.

Reyhana is a Turkish naming meaning "sweet-smelling flower" and is pronounced ray-HA-na...and yes, the "h" is pronounced :). Her middle name comes from her great, great Grandmother Rosalinda and her great Grandmother Rose.

Here are pictures from the hospital on her birthday, April 3, 2009! Reyhana weighed 7 lbs / 12 ounces and measured 20 inches long. We are absolutely thrilled that she is here and that she is happy and heathly!!!

Baby Shower #1 - was thrown by my loving sisters, Laura and Julie. It was a yummy brunch at Julie's beautiful home in San Diego, and many relatives and family friends were able to join us for a very special day. Check out photos here...

Baby Shower #2 - was thrown by my dear friends Nicole Altshuler, Kristin Gentry, Lenette Harmer, and Lisa Promotico. We had a fabulous girl party with great food, cake, amazing friends, and of course, cute baby gifts! Check out photos here...
